Couple days a go waiting for my KTX to leave, I wandered into a bookstore near Seoul Station and bought the book "The Korean Conversation (1)", no author credited, but publisihed by SeSe publishing house. 2005/04/01 as the publishing date.
2、3日前,KTXが発車するのを待っているいるとき,私はソウル駅の近くの書店へ歩き回り、作者名は書いていないが,2005/04/01にSeSe出版社から出版された「The Korean Conversation (1)/韓国会話(1)」という本を購入しました。
Unfortunately I failed to read the preface which is so absolutely horrifying, that had I read it, I would have demanded the bookstore pay me back for the waste of my time in opening the book.
I will quote that preface word for word, and let you draw your conclusions:
不運にも、私はあまりにゾッとする序文を読みませんでした。もし,私が読んでいたらな,本を開いて自分の時間が浪費されたこと理由として,私は書店払った金を返しなさいと要求していたでしょう。私は言葉のためにその序文言葉を引用し、あなたにご自身の結論を導出させましょう。

The Preface
Language is the first precious intangible cultural properities in this world.
言語はこの世界の最初の貴重な無形の文化的財産です。
Writing is the first valuable tangible cultual properties in this world.
記述はこの世界において,最初の価値のある有形の文化的財産です。
Amog the rest, The Korean Language and Korean Writing are the greatest cultural inheritance of everythig in the world.
それらの残りのうちで、韓国語および朝鮮語記述は世界で最も大きな文化遺産です。
Of course, there are only thier language and writing in other country,too
もちろん、他の国においても,その国の言語と記述が存在します。
But their language and writing cannot express perfectly each and every.
しかし、それらの言語と記述はすべてを完全に表現することができません。
The Korean Langeage and Korean Writing can express perfectly everything,everysound, all of thinking, and all of feeling of this world.
韓国語および韓国の著作は、すべてのことを完全に表現することができます。あらゆる音,思考法すべて,そしてこの世の感情すべてを。
Like this, The Korean superior culture be Known to the general public, the foreigners are learing The Korean Langeage and Writing, is getting more and more many.
このように、韓国の優れた文化は,一般大衆に知られている。外国人は韓国語を学んでいて、その数はものすごく増えています。
This book is worte for the sake of them
この本はこの人々のために書かれました。
There is the theme, but is a conversation book.
テーマがありますが,しかし、これは会話本です。
The foreiger can learn The Korean Langeage and Writing by himself, because this book is easy to undrstand everyone.
この本は簡単に皆を理解できるので,外国人は韓国語を一人で学ぶことはできます。
As much as possible, I mean what I hope , more than foreginers become to learn The Korean Langeage and Writing in this book.
できる限り,より多くの外国人がこの本で韓国語を学習することになるよう,私は望んでいる。
(3)この欧米人は次のように締めくくる。
The book itself is horribly written, with the English grammar of a four year old hagwon student, and quite definitely the worst Korean for Foreigners phrasebook I have ever seen in my life. But I couldn't even read the rest, having been so insulted and angered by that preface.
この本は,4歳のhagwon学生の英語の文法でひどく書かれており,私が今まで一生のうち見た全くもって最悪な外国人外国語慣用句集です。しかし、私はその序文によってそのように侮辱され怒ったので、さらに残りを読むことができませんでした。
The back of the book has listed a name, Kim Chun Mo, who I assume may be the author, and the phone numbers 02-2633-6257 and 019-224-6257 for the publisher.
本の後部はキム・チユンMoという名前が書かれていました。私はこの人物が著者だと思います。
